Peter Levine
Trauma researcher, author, and clinician Peter Levine has made significant contributions in the field of trauma over the years. In particular, he observed how animals respond to danger and life-threat and how they release the physiological charge by running and shaking. He developed Somatic Experiencing - a therapeutic approach that creates, in various ways, a "lived experience" of agency, empowerment, and safety.
